Ardmore

Ardmore

Located on the northern edge of Franklin, Ardmore sits between South Auckland and the rural landscapes that define the wider region. Known for its aviation heritage and open, elevated terrain, Ardmore acts as a gateway between city and countryside.

Ardmore is home to Ardmore Airport — one of New Zealand’s busiest non-commercial airports — along with aviation training schools, industrial businesses and expanding commercial precincts. Surrounding the airport are lifestyle properties, rolling farmland and views stretching toward the Hunua Ranges and Manukau Harbour.

While it may not feel like a traditional town centre, Ardmore plays an important role within Franklin Auckland. It represents movement, enterprise and connection — linking industry, agriculture and aviation within one of Auckland’s fastest-growing southern corridors.

Ardmore is one of the towns and settlements that make up the Franklin region. Explore all Franklin towns on our interactive map here.
